Rüfüs Du Sol announced some shows for their new North America tour and I am beyond excited. It's at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington and I really have to go to this show. I've been to the Gorge only once - maybe I'll write about my experience another time.
I really wanted to go to Rufus' tour last year either in Toronto or Bend. But I already had travel plans for EDCO so it wasn't possible because I also spent a lot of money going to San Diego earlier that year.
Anyway, I literally wasn't sure if I'd go back to the Gorge again. It would have to be for a music act that you would absolutely have to see live in a venue like that. I would have gone for Odesza or Tame Impala. And Rufus is a definitely one I'd make the trip for.
There are so many shows there happening this year at the Gorge that'd be interesting like Griztronics, Martin Garrix, and Above & Beyond Group Therapy. And there's other festivals like Beyond Wonderland and Bass Canyon. But they're not that appealing to me because I've seen all of those artists already plus I'm not that much into bass as I used to be. I could do a bass show that's a few hours but not a weekend long festival.
I was able to grab a ticket for Saturday, which is ideal, so I can travel day of and come back Sunday without having to book vacation days. But it is going to be difficult getting there because you have to drive there from Seattle. And I currently don't have my license and a car. I mean, I can possibly get my license in the next few months and rent a car. I'm just worried about driving long distances because I am going alone. But let's see.
