Hello visitor,
My name's Kali. I've been blogging since 2012 or so. I have made a plethora of blogs I ended up deleting because I could never remember to update them and I could never get the sense of who I'm writing to. But I'm finally going to keep this one and try to write whenever I'm inspired.
Writing an actual blog opposed to writing posts on social media is better because I can structure my posts and add links and photos without having a character limit. I used to make posts on tumblr and write nonsense on twitter. But those posts tend to get lost because it's in chronological order. I mean, this blog is in chronological order as well, but I can add tags so I can filter posts that way because I like looking back at what I've written.
What I didn't like about writing on tumblr and twitter then was the fact that it felt like I was writing and throwing ideas into the void. I didn't really have much interaction there and I doubt that I will have engagement here because I've turned off commenting–which is fine. I think I am more content with how blogs are structured because you can just write. I'm not really doing this to conjure discussion.
I am writing for myself mainly. I am a forgetful person and I tend to not able to discuss things that I truly care about to people. I find it difficult to articulate my thoughts and opinions on things. It might have to do with the fact that I have ADHD. So I think that writing blog posts will help me. But also, when I'm writing about my interests and things about my life, it sort of reminds me of who I am as cliché as that sounds.
This blog is meant to be an informal blog where I can write about things that I enjoy and anecdotes. I'm not going to use this blog as a place to vent per se. I do keep a personal journal where I can write about the turmoils of my life. And things like that should be kept private anyway.
Whether you're someone I know in real life or a complete stranger on the internet, enjoy, I guess?
