I have been meaning to post this for weeks. But you know, life. Anyway, here's my experience for this year.
This is my 2nd time going to Fvded. This is the lineup:
I knew that I was going to go to both days when I saw it. There were a lot of names here that I haven't seen before that I've been wanting to see. I think I like last year's lineup better but this one's still pretty decent. But again, there weren't many DJs I was dying to see, maybe Lane 8, Cassian, and Kaytra.
Day 1:
I got to the festival when Lavern was playing. I missed a few of his songs while I was in the lineup to get in. I did enjoy his set a lot and I was quite surprised by the energy. I definitely thought it was going to be more laidback. Bro is killing it, I swear I saw him on so many lineups this year.
Here's a few clips:
After Lavern was D.O.D. D.O.D has been one of my favourite DJs recently and I've already seen him last October. But I wasn't there for the entire set last time. So, I was hoping to see him for the entirety and I thought it would be exciting to see him at a festival setting. But I did have to leave to meet up with friends. Until next time, D.O.D ♡
Here's a few clips:

Song: "So Much Love"
I think I was most excited to see Sammy Virji this day. It got pretty crowded when his set rolled around. I really need to see him again sometime.
Here are some clips:
We got to the main stage. Kaytranada was playing the last of his set. Honestly, I think that this has got to be my favourite set of the entire festival and I didn't even see the entire set. I wanted to see Kaytra last year when he played at Deer Lake but I was literally coming back from Washington so I couldn't be there in time.
Here's a clip:
Song: "Intimidated"
I was only filming coming to the stage and I have got to say that this is one of the greatest moments of my life. This was so perfect. I've been wanting to see an actual sunset set but I haven't yet. I mean, last year it was supposed to be Dom Dolla and John Summit but it was still bright as hell when they were on. Plus, I feel like their music is was too upbeat for what I'm looking for (unless John was playing Silence, Focus, Tears, Go Back, you know, the less tech house-y songs). It could have been Hayden James in San Diego but I was only there for about 10 minutes so I couldn't enjoy it much. So Kaytra's set was exactly what I wanted. The sun was setting, it wasn't too hot or too cool. I was with my guy and we were both high and feeling so happy. We were dancing and the music was so serene and beautiful. Litereally, this is where I want to be when I die.
Anyway, Tiësto was on next. I was pretty conflicted on which headliner I wanted to see. I've been wanting to see Black Tiger Sex Machine for awhile. I missed them at Veld and I had an AP ticket for them but I ended up not going. But my guy said he recognized who Tiësto was and I agreed on going. I wasn't annoyed by seeing a particular artist over the other. I'm actually glad that I got to see this legend. I might see Tiësto again at EDCO but I'm not sure, depends on the set times.
It was my first time seeing an entire headlining set at this main stage. I did see a few minutes of Swedish House Mafia and Kx5 so I didn't really get to experience much of what headliners had to offer to this stage.
Here's a few clips:
Song: "Sweater Weather" - The Neighbourhood x "Kids" - MGMT
Song: "Won't Be Possible"
Song: "Stranger (To Stability) [Len Faki Podium Mix]" - Dustin Zahn
Song: ID
Day 2:
For Day 2, I got there around the same time. I actually lost my cardholder at the festival, most likely when I was lying on the ground. Once I got in, I checked at Lost and Found and they had it! The only thing that was weird was I got a strange TicketWeb charge that I didn't purchase. It was like $100+ so I'm assuming someone used my card to buy AP tickets. I did lock my card when I realized it was gone when I was leaving the festival on Day 1. The charge didn't get posted, which is good.
Anyway onto Day 2. I didn't get to see Nimino when he came last. So, I'm happy I got to see a little bit of his set. I was waiting for friends so I was in the far back as you can see.
Here's a clip:
Song: "I Only Smoke When I Drink"
Next was Layton Giordani. He's been making waves in the scene so I wanted to check him out.
Here's a clip:
Song: "Act of God"
John Summit played his song at Foundation Open Radius and I was excited to see Layton himself perform it.
Cassian was after Layton Giordani and I really wanted to see him. He played at last year's Foundation Open Radius but I didn't go. At Fvded, I only saw his opening song because our group wanted to see Levity. He will be at EDCO, so I'm not too sad about missing his set because I will definitely see him there.
Here's a clip:
Song: "Where I'm From"
We went to the Forest stage to see Levity. I got a ticket for Levity's afterparty so I wasn't planning on seeing them at the festival. It is was it is, but I am glad that I went to their set because I was tired after and I sold my ticket. I don't think I've seen this stage this packed before, it was crazy. But we got there early enough to be somewhat close.
Here are some clips:
Song: "One For You"
Song: "Chill"
After Levity, we went to the main stage to see Subtronics. I was originally planning on seeing Disclosure and Lane 8. I really wanted to see them. But I wanted to stay with my group because we had other friends join us. So, I decided to stay at the main stage with everyone instead of myself just going to see Disclosure and Lane 8 and being all emotional. But it's fine, I'll see Disclosure and Lane 8 one day.
It was Subtronics' first time at Fvded and I'm excited to be there. Subtronics did headline the bass stage at Veld when I was there last year. But I didn't go because his set was the same time as Martin Garrix's set.
Here's a clip:
Song: ID
The rest of my Subtronics videos are bad so not gonna post them.
Next was Zedd. I didn't listen to a lot of Zedd back then and I wasn't planning on seeing him. But I'm actually glad I did because I don't think that I will see him at any future events.
Here are some clips:
Song: "Where You Are" - John Summit
Song: "Animals" - Martin Garrix
Song: ID
Song: "Follow"
Song: "Alive"
Honestly, I think I'm at the point where I have seen most of the DJ's I've been wanting to see. I think what matters to me the most is the overall festival experience. I think that Fvded made a statement last year that they were striving to improve the festival. And I was hoping for better stage production and sound. Which turned out to be a joke because there were audio issues at the main stage which would be disappointing if I was trying to see an artist when they were having issues.
Will I go again next year? Depends on the lineup. Maybe for one of the days because I feel like nearly $300 for this festival is way expensive for what it is.
To end the post, here's some of my favourite totems for the lolz:
Not as extravagent as other totems you see at other fests, but Fvded doesn't allow totems, and I thought these were amusing. I wanted to do a swiffer totem so bad lol.
