I used to listen to this song when I was a kid.
I'm having difficulty pinpointing when exactly because The Suburbs was released on August 3, 2010 but this song was released as a single on April 21, 2012. But I guess the music video itself was released on December 13, 2011. I'm confuzzled by how old I was exactly when I was listening to this song. But I'm sure it was when I was 12-13 years old.
Anyway, I didn't have an iPod or phone. I used to use this janky ass MP3 player. It was like a USB where you could plug it into your computer and put files onto it. I used to use this youtube to MP3 converter for low quality audio files of youtube videos.
Sprawl II were one of the songs I had on this MP3 player and I'd listen to it a lot because I had very few space on my MP3 player. It reminds me a lot when I'd go to the pool at my high school and play. I wouldn't even swim because I can't swim. But yeah, I would go to the pool with my sister and friend and we'd play in the shallow end of the pool and this song reminds me a lot of that time.
